If you're growing veggies, natives are a must! We will share how natives will help you produce the best edible bounty from season to season. Learn how easy and rewarding native plants can be in your gardens cape.

Participants will receive a list of top plants for gardening in the southwest, info on benefits of natives and a great local resources. Learn how to utilize native plants to change the Phoenix landscape for the good of both humans and wildlife!"

about the instructor:

Paris Masek became hooked into the aquatic world as well as its inhabitants working as a fisheries biologist and aquaculturist since the 1970s. Paris has been working in gardens and other agriculture ventures just as long. He is finishing his PhD studies at Arizona State University working with the who, what, and where of how nature and animals infiltrate the physical, cultural, and imaginative body of Indigenous American literature of the Southwest. Paris is an adjunct English faculty member at South Mountain Community College. 

Translation: he loves to talk fish and tell taller tales. Paris' eclectic knowledge and skill sets have led to him being appointed as a manager for the Quincea Social Enterprise Project, heading up the Agribusiness and Social Enterprise divisions.
