volunteer as a seed librarian!

interested in helping others obtain their first seeds and plant a garden? learning more about permaculture by teaching others?

The VPA Seed Library aims to increase biodiversity of locally adapted seeds in the Valley of the Sun by providing open pollinated heirloom seeds, encouraging people to garden, and sharing knowledge of seed saving and permaculture.

On the second Saturday of each month, volunteers bring the Seed Library out to the foyer of the Glendale Main Public Library foyer to help families pick out some free seeds to take home and provide planting advice.

This is an especially great opportunity for Master Gardeners or vegetable gardening enthusiasts to share their knowledge.
