suggestions for suitable trees to plant in a very narrow area between houses

While there is plenty of space between the houses, the area that is legally mine to plant in is very narrow so I need to select a tree that will not be so wide as to encroach on the house.  I have about 12' to play with if I plant right to the property's edge.  Naturally, I would like a low water tree.

    Hi Cathy,

Here are some smaller trees that could work for you:

    Palo Blanco - Acacia willardiana

Texas Mountain Laurel - Sophora secundiflora

    Coral Gum - Eucalyptus torquata

    Mulga - Acacia anuera

All of them are low water use, and work well in our area.
